Raised in Towanda Kansas, Gregg began playing guitar at the age of 9. Gregg’s first instrument of
choice was the ukulele (which he gave up shortly after his sister broke it over his head). He says that he learned two important
lessons that day. “One, Not everyone is going to appreciate your music, and Two, Never smart mouth a woman who has a
hold of your instrument.”
Playing the guitar has helped him pursue two of his great loves - singing and songwriting.
He’s written well over a hundred songs and entertained on stages from the Mid-West to Nashville. In
2006, he released a CD of original songs which were recorded and mastered by award winning producer “Tennessee”
Jim Farrell (of the Diamond W Wranglers). Cuts from the CD have received radio play in the US and in Europe.
As the Front-Man for the Gregg Woodall Band, he excels as an entertainer and vocalist.
The band started in May of 2006 and since then, their fan base has steadily grown. GWB fans appreciate their
broad ranging musical styles and know that their shows are gonna be a good time.
